Administrative Assistant to the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment and Federal Programs Coordinator DEPARTMENT:
Business Office PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Director(s) of Curriculum, including but not limited to facilitating curriculum purchasing process, supporting professional development design, and monitoring grants.
TRAINING AND
Experience:
Possess a high school diploma or GED Two years' experience as a secretary in an office setting Participates successfully in computer training to attain and/or maintain skills necessary to achieve proficiency of performance responsibilities Participates successfully in professional learning opportunities available to increase skills and proficiency related to assignment GENERAL:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated insight, intelligence and problem-solving ability Successful experience in high stress, demanding environment Must be self-motivated with ability to work without supervision Work as a member of District staff team Familiarity with Pennsylvania School District procedures Ability to maintain confidentiality on all matters Ability to meet deadlines REPORTS TO:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Curriculum Director(s) in accordance with provisions of the applicable policies of the Tuscarora School District.
COMPENSATION:
Twelve (12) month, 40 hours per week work schedule and other conditions of employment in accordance with current wage guidelines and applicable policies.
PERFORMANCE
Responsibilities:
Support Director(s) of Curriculum with curriculum projects and ad hoc assignments as needed Keep record of assigned federal and state grant programs which include program monitoring, and reporting Assist with grant budgets and applications Keep records of district curriculum Assist with all curriculum meetings Support implementation of specialized district programs, such as TSD Online Academy and Kindercamp Organize and update teacher induction activities and manuals Maintain district calendar and appropriate paperwork for all in-service activities Act as liaison between the office of curriculum and:
Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 PDE Division of Federal Programs PDE Bureau of Teaching and Learning Area colleges and universities for student observation and student-teacher placements Non-public schools to initiate required documents for inclusion in the District Title I Program Manage Act 48 continuing education credits and enter appropriate information in the State's PERMS (Personnel Electronic Records Management System) Compile data and statistics, such as managing MAPS Family Growth Reports and updating District's Equity and Comparability Plan Manage Parapro test process and as coordinated with the technology department Coordinates travel, conference registrations, and lodging for the Director of Federal Programs, Curriculum and Instruction Directors, administrative staff, and teachers Assumes any other responsibilities as assigned by the Business Manager or Superintendent POSITION SPECIFICATIONS Physical Demands:

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Employee must attain an Act 34 Criminal History Background Check, Act 151 Child Abuse History Clearance and Federal Criminal History Record every 60 months.
Must satisfy Mandated Reporter Training and Act 168 requirements.
Must obtain a physical examination and possess a valid driver's license.
In other respects, the successful candidate must be eligible for employment according to the provisions contained in Section 1209 of the Public School Code of 1949, as amended.
