Job Posting Spanish Teaching Faculty Language Department Job Classification Faculty, Full-Time, Academic Year, Exempt Reports To Language Department Head Summary The person holding this position is responsible for preparing curriculum and providing instruction in Spanish as a member of the language department.
For the 2022-23 academic year, we are hiring for one position teaching Spanish.
Preference will be given to candidates who may also serve as a head coach for wrestling or boys/girls tennis, or assistant coach of boys/girls soccer.
Additional coaching needs include field hockey, outdoor education, swimming/ diving, and lacrosse.
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
Teaching:
Teaching four sections of the Spanish language, preparing course objectives and course of study following departmental guidelines and curriculum, conducting varied and frequent assessments of student performance, utilizing appropriate technology in the classroom setting, keeping attendance and grade records as required by school, writing individual grade and comment reports with additional progress reports as assigned, maintaining regularly scheduled office hours for help sessions with students, attending faculty meetings and professional development opportunities provided by the school Residential:
This position will participate in all aspects of the school including participation in our student life program which includes advisory to a group of students, chaperoning student activities, and student support.
Co-Curricular:
All faculty members will participate in a co-curricular within our experiential program which may include coaching, community engagement, outdoor education or arts assignments.
Currently, we are looking for the following coaching roles:
Assistant Coach, Boys' JV Soccer; Head Coach, Boy' and Girls' Diving; Assistant Coach, Field Hockey; Assistant Coach, Softball; Assistant Coach, Boys' and Girls' Swimming; Head Coach, Varsity Girls' Volleyball.
Communication:
Communicating positively and proactively with students, advisers, parents, colleagues, and administration in a professional manner in oral and written form Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The position requires a person who has experience teaching adolescents and enjoys working with and relates well to both adults and students, is collaborative, and communicates well.
This faculty member needs to be organized as well as possess excellent technology skills.
This faculty member holds a full-time faculty position and two-thirds of the faculty position is devoted to teaching.
The language department member carries out additional responsibilities such as residential and/or co-curricular assignments.
Individual will need to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of an ever-changing boarding school environment.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree Extensive expertise in technology applications, including use of a MacBook Pro and iPad for teaching purposes with specific knowledge of Keynote, Pages, and iMovie Proficiency in specified language Prior experience in teaching specified language and curriculum development preferred A valid driver's license.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
